Thomas "Tommy" Jerome Antrobus

November 5, 1966 — March 21, 2025

Thomas (Tommy) Jerome Antrobus (58) passed away Friday evening, March 21st, 2025 surrounded by his sons and family at Reid Hospital in Richmond Indiana. Tom is survived by his younger sister, Diana Dewesse of Pineville, Louisiana, his two sons-- Dustin Antrobus (wife- Crystal) and Chileab Corey Antrobus, and grandchildren—Brayden, Isaiah, Zach, Layla, and Declan of Liberty Indiana.

Tommy was born on November 5th, 1966, in Shelbyville Indiana to Thomas and Thelma (Ebert) Antrobus. Tommy and his sister Diana lost their parents to tragedy at an early age. However, with much family love and caring, they were able to come to live and grow with their Aunt and Uncle (George and Nettie Jean Ebert) who loved and raised them as their own—along with their 5 cousins.

Tommy was a graduate of Baptist Temple High School in Shelbyville IN. Tom had a strong drive to help others and focused that drive on becoming an EMT and a volunteer fireman at the Fountaintown Fire Department. His warm and friendly smile and gentle disposition put people at ease during stressful times in various emergency situations.

Tom was a proud father and grandfather. It was shared that he was able to hold his children and grandchildren shortly after they were born— and gave beaming smiles and hugs with each newborn.

Tommy was a hard worker and provided for his family by work at physically demanding industrial jobs. He maintained his last position at Klosterman’s Bakery in Morristown until his medical retirement, due to his worsening illness.

Tommy was a life-long fisherman and enjoyed being on the water with his sons and grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing with his sons and grandchildren at Brookville Lake as often as he was able. He was active in the Brookville Stripers Club for many years, with his family as well, and earned a few fishing trophies along the way when he was younger.

The family would like to thank the staff at Whitewater Commons at Liberty, Indiana for their continuing efforts in assisting with Tommy’s care and helping to make Tom’s life comfortable during his long illness.

Please consider making a donation to the CCCC Food and Clothing Pantry, a non-profit community organization in Liberty Indiana – for families in need-- Tommy’s name.
