Ronald “Joe” Stone, 40, died early Sunday morning, March 11, 2012, due to injuries suffered in an automobile accident on SR 121.
Born May 20, 1971 to Ronald Z. and Ruth E. Perkins Stone, Joe was a 1992 graduate of Union County High School and had also attended Connersville High School where he had played football. Joe had Been employed at Batesville Casket Company, Batesville for ten years and had also worked at Valeo, Greensburg and Schultz Concrete in Harrison, Ohio. He was passionate about football, hunting, motocross, dirt bikes, being active outdoors. Joe very protective of his family and enjoyed being around children.
Joe is survived by his three children: Ronald “Ben” Stone of Brookville; Gabriel Joseph Stone, Ainsley E. Stone; fiancé: Renee’ Gough, all of Connersville; mother and step-father: Ruth and Raymond Keller of Liberty; maternal grandmother: Bernice Hudelson of Connersville; four sisters and their spouses: Ragena K Crawley of Connersville; Rachel E. and Brian Loman; Rebecca L. and Kevin Ladd. all of Laurel; Danielle M. Stone of Rushville; several nieces, nephews, cousins and uncles.
Preceding Joe in death are his father; nephew: Johnathan T. Harrison; and his grandparents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville with Pastor Chris Lovett of Crosspointe Bikers Church officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 12 Saturday until the time of the service where memorial contributions may be made to help defray funeral expenses at either Franklin County National Bank or Main Source Bank.
