Patricia Ann Mcneely

Patricia Ann McNeely, 76, of Connersville, died Sunday, February 12, 2017, at Fayette Regional Health System. A native of Rushville, she was born June 10, 1940 to Virgil E. and Lois Aileen Johnting Jones. She was a 1959 graduate of Rushville High School and was married May 28, 1960 to Barry McNeely at the First Baptist Church in Rushville. Patricia was a member of the First Baptist Church in Connerville where she served on the Board of Deaconesses. For over 19 years, she was employed in the cafeteria at Grandview Elementary School. Patricia also enjoyed being a member of the Connersville Lions Club and the local chapter of the American Association of Retired Persons. In addition to her husband of 56 years, Patricia is survived by her three children: Gary L. McNeely of Greenfield, Brian McNeely and Denise L. McNeely, both of Connersville; her grandsons: Duane McNeely of Ft. Wayne and Derrick McNeely of Connersville; her sisters and their husbands: Linda Virden and Robert of Walnut Creek, California; Anita Dodson and Richard of Indianapolis; Rita Collins of Arcadia; several nieces and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers: Dale, David Allen, Morris Dewayne, and James Vernon Jones; and two sisters: Ina May Jacob and Laura Vandeventer. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, February 20, 2017, at the First Baptist Church, 1211 N. Grand Avenue, Connersville, with Pastor Mal Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery, section J. Friends may visit at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2017 and after 10 a.m. Monday at the church.
