Pamela Jane Sullivan, 65, of Connersville died Monday morning, July 25, 2016 at Reid Health, Richmond.
A Connersville native, Pamela was born January 18, 1951, the only child of Robert J. “Bob” and Pansy L. Gaddis Sheffy. She attended Connersville area schools and had previously been employed at the Connersville News-Examiner. Pamela’s beloved past time was playing bingo at the American Legion Post 1, where she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for more than 40 years. Pamela was the ultimate mother figure and will always be remembered for the love and compassion she offered to her family and friends. She greatly enjoyed telling funny stories, making new friends and online shopping. Pamela loved pajamas, fountain pops and chap stick.
Pamela is survived by her children: Regina Sullivan; Bobby Sullivan and his wife, Jackie; Delbert Sullivan; her father: Robert J. “Bob” Sheffy, all of Connersville; her grandchildren: Dylan Sullivan; Devan Black; Cameron Sullivan; Danielle ‘D.J.’ Lubbers; Megan-May Gibbs; Lewis Gibbs and his wife; her great-grandchildren: Brody, Keaton, Katrina; her aunt: Nancy Lengle; her former mother-in-law: Marilyn Collins, both of Connersville.
Pamela is preceded in death by her mother: Pansy L. Sheffy; her maternal grandparents: Merle and Edna Gaddis; several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, with Reverend Robert E. Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Thursday from 12 p.m. until the time of service.
