Myron Anderson Powell, 77, of Hamilton died Monday, December 7, 2015 at Kettering Medical Center in Kettering, Ohio.
Myron was born on August 7, 1938, in Panola, Kentucky, to Albert Edwin and Irene Wilson Powell.
He attended school in College Corner. Myron retired from General Cooperage after thirty years of service as a whiskey barrel maker. Myron enjoyed hunting, fishing, and caring for his animals.
Myron is survived by one sister, Marlene Smith and her husband Ray of Liberty; two nephews: Dan Smith and wife Patty of Liberty and Gary Smith of Oxford; and a niece Debbie Peters and husband Jim of Hamilton; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and a lot of good friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2015, at Showalter Blackwell Tilton Funeral Home, Baker Chapel, in College Corner with Rev. Randy Gentry of the College Corner Nazarene Church officiating. Interment will follow in College Corner Cemetery.
