Maulicia Kae Alexander, 51 of Richmond, IN, died on October 27, 2021 at Reid Health. Born February 20, 1970 in Richmond, IN, to parents Joyce and Howard Winstead, Maulicia resided in Connersville, IN most of her life. As a child, she was a member of Baptist Temple church and attended Temple Christian School. She later attended Connersville High School where she participated as a tri-athlete involved in basketball, softball and volleyball. She played softball on many different teams while growing up and often played on traveling teams. She graduated in 1988. After high school, Maulicia joined Bethel Apostolic church, where she was a faithful member for several years. She was actively involved in helping her dad restore houses for resale and she followed in his footsteps in being an avid UK fan. Her dad was her best friend. She loved watching NCAA and NBA basketball. She also enjoyed cooking/baking, gardening, listening to music, and watching reality tv shows. Survivor’s are her only daughter, Devyn (Lakes) Truitt, her son in law Jacob Truitt, and granddaughter Elena Truitt, all of Grand Rapids, MI; long time husband/companion, Bryan Alexander of Richmond, IN and stepdaughter, Kayla Alexander of Indianapolis, IN; her sister Rynette Farris, her brother in law Dion Farris, and niece, Halle Farris, all of Connersville, as well as her remaining aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by, both parents, Joyce and Howard Winstead, her sister: Annette Lorelle Lunsford; maternal grandparents, Patrick and Gladys Venable and paternal grandparents, Albert and Ida Winstead, and, her little grand dog Tank, who she loved dearly. A celebration of life will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Showalter Blackwell Long, Myers Chapel, Connersville with Pastor Richie Ware of Higher Praise officiating. Friends may visit the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to, Hazeldyn Betty Ford Foundation.
