Mary E. Hall

Mary E. Hall, 94, of Connersville, peacefully passed on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Hickory Creek at Connersville. Mary was born on December 2, 1929, in Rush County to Kenneth R. Lacy and Lillian Jones Lacy Hale. On June 3, 1950, at Calvary Baptist Church in Connersville, Mary married William G. "Bill" Hall, Sr. They were blessed with 67 years of marriage until his death in 2017. Mary worked for GTE Telephone Company for 8 years. She also worked at Stant Manufacturing for over 25 years, retiring in 1992. Mary and Bill attended Calvary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and worked with the Sunshine Basket Ministry. Mary treasured time spent with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Mary is survived by children: William G. (Cindy) Hall Jr. of Muncie; Richard (Olya) Hall of Carmel; Becky (Jack) Flannery and Brenda (Rick) Coleman both of Connersville; 9 grandchildren and their spouses: Lacey (fiancé, Tom Bloom) Baker, Ben (Secret Riebsomer) Sherwood, Rob and Stephanie Coleman, Chris and Sean Hall, Hayley and Ted Garard, Kate Gwyn, Emily (Patrick) O’Shaughnessy, Patrick Hall and Daniel Hall; 8 great-grandchildren, Evan, Sam, Ryan, Keeley, Nola, Jameson, Cillian and Evie; brother, Kenneth Lacy; sister, Carol Rose; and several nieces and nephews. Mary is preceded in death by parents; husband William G. "Bill" Hall, Sr.; brothers: Richard Lacy and Robert Hale; sisters: Martha Isaacs and Judith Hale. Memorial Contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Showalter Blackwell Long, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Pastor John Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
