Martha Steele, 84, of Connersville, died Friday, November 2, 2012, at Lincoln Centers-East.
Martha was the daughter of Raleigh and Della Jane Bowman Toler, born April 26, 1928 in Beattyville, Kentucky and attended Pleasant Flat School there. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Falmouth. Martha liked to crochet and quilt. In her leisure time, she enjoyed working in her flower garden.
Martha is survived by three sons: Dewey Steele of Locust Grove, Georgia; Edward G. Steele and Duane Steele, both of Connersville; four brothers: her twin, Henry Toler of Richmond; Clyde Toler and his wife, Catherine of Connersville; Carlos Toler of Falmouth; Adrian Toler of Connersville; two sisters: Helen Fox and Betty Payton, both of Connersville; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde who died in 1969; a sister: Dema Johnson; and two brothers: Joseph and George Toler.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon Monday at the First Southern Baptist Church in Falmouth with Rev. Bill Flanigan, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church from 10 a.m. Monday until 12 noon where memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
