Luann Irrgang, 59, of Connersville passed away Friday night, July 10, 2015 surrounded by her family.
A Connersville native, Luann was born October 25, 1955 to Howard “Skeeter” and Mary Alice Allen Irrgang and was a 1973 graduate of Connersville High School. For several years, she was employed at the Connersville Parks and Recreation Department, coordinating events at the Miller Building. Luann was also formerly employed at Stant Manufacturing, the Fayette County Clerk’s Office and the Fayette County Recorder Offices. Luann was a very loving and generous woman who had a great sense of humor and a knack for decorating. In her leisure time, she enjoyed collecting Boyd’s Bears. Luann especially enjoyed her grandchildren and attending their ballgames.
Luann is survived by her sons and their spouses: Chad Cranfill and Heather; Jeremy Cranfill and Kristy; her grandchildren: Regan, Makayla, Maranda and Matthew Cranfill; her former sister-in-law: Sharon Irrgang Dillow, all of Connersville; her nephew: Jason Irrgang; her great nephew: Chase Irrgang.
In addition to her parents, Luann was preceded in death by her brothers: Mark and Terry Irrgang; her maternal grandparents: Frank and Lena Allen; her paternal grandparents: George and Audrey Irrgang.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville with Vonda Bishop officiating. Interment will follow in Everton Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday where memorial contributions may be made to the Fayette County Cancer Society.
