Karon Sue Miller, 69, of Glenwood died Friday, July 1, 2016, at Major Hospital in Shelbyville.
Karon was born in Xenia, Ohio, on September 1, 1946, to David and Katherine Graham Kennedy. Karon graduated from Rushville High School in 1964. On August 28, 1965, Karon married the love of her life, William Miller, in Rushville. She had worked as a beautician in earlier years and also worked as a pharmacy tech. She was a member of the Milroy Christian Church. Karon loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was known as the “Cookie Maker “ like none other.
In addition to her husband of more than fifty years, Karon is survived by three sons and their wives: David Miller and Bobbette of Rushville; Daniel Miller and Melissa of Grafton, OH, and Ryan Miller and Melinda of Glenwood; eight grandchildren: Jalyn, Jenna, Gabe, Mya, Nate, Lyla, Austin, and Lily; two sisters: her twin sister Sharon Long of Westfield, and Connie Oatis of Greenwood; and several nieces and nephews that called her “Aunt Nana”. Karon was preceded in death by her parents and a brother –in-law, Jeff Long.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 4, 2016, at the Milroy Christian Church with Pastor Ron Simbro officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made to Jake’s Heart of Gold at Rush Memorial Hospital Foundation ~ PO Box 215
