Jacob "Jake" C. Crist

Jacob C. “Jake” Crist, 23, of Richmond and former Connersville resident, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at his residence. Jacob was born May 12, 1989 in Richmond to Christopher D. and Nancy Kay Ward Crist. In 2007, he graduated from Connersville High School and had begun preparation to attend college in Florida to major in video game design. Jacob was employed at NSK in Liberty as a computer numerical control machine operator. He enjoyed music and was learning to play the guitar. “Jake” is survived by his mother: Nancy K. Crist; his father: Christopher D. Crist; his brother: C. Cody Crist; his paternal grandmother: Joan McClay, all of Connersville; aunts and uncles: Barbara and Bill Remley of Hagerstown; Millie and Carlos Largen of Connersville; Jim and Caroline Ward of Martinez, Georgia; Patsy and Jeff Daniel of Milton; Rob and Beth Fields of Richmond; Ann Crist of Connersville; and several cousins, including: Robbie and Mike Remley, Tyler and Katie Russell and Kim Keller. Jacob was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: Elmer Crist; and his maternal grandparents: James N. Ward and Rose Ann Ward. A celebration of life memorial service will be conducted at 12 p.m. Monday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of service where memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
