Goldie M. Litzinger

Goldie Mae Litzinger, 89, of Connersville, died Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Lincoln Centers East where she had resided for several years. Goldie was born in Jellico, TN, July 21, 1922 to John and Rosanna Gum Moore and had attended area schools, including Blooming Grove. She was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed playing with her grandchildren. Goldie is survived by two children: Artie Hamilton and Lilly Wolfe, both of Connersville; a sister: Clara Hughes of Connersville; eleven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 17 great-great-grandchildren and several great-great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Goldie was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur Hamilton; her second husband: Wilbur Litzinger; three brothers: Dewey, Walter and Henry Moore; two sisters: Martha Vandiver and LaVerne Tramell. Public graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Dale Cemetery. Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, is in charge of the arrangements.
