Eddie Jefferson Hall, Jr., 71, of Connersville, died Thursday afternoon, November 20, 2014, at his residence.
Eddie was born in Frankfort, Kentucky, November 30, 1942, to Eddie Jefferson, Sr. and Betty Jane Brophy Hall. He had been employed as a carpenter and retired from CRF First Choice in Connersville. For several years, Eddie raised, trained and raced greyhound dogs. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed NASCAR racing, especially Jeff Gordon.
Eddie has been together with his wife, Nancy Fields Connor Hall, for the past seventeen years. He is also survived by two daughters: Amanda Hall, Casey Fair and her husband, Joel, all of Churubusco; four step-children: James Conner, Georgia Russell and her husband, Michael; Michael Conner and his wife, Anitra; Lisa Hackensmith and her husband, Charles, all of Connersville; 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, his brother: Tom Hall and his wife, Janie of Glencoe, KY; his sister: Geraldine Howard of Frankfort, KY; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by two sisters: Jackie Lodge and Carole Pricer.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Pastors Tom Hall and Phillip Russell, officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday where memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
