Cynthia Sue Schoenfeld Smith

Cynthia Sue Schoenfeld Smith, 54, of Connersville, died Saturday, November 22, 2014, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. Cynthia was born in Connersville on June 28, 1960, to Paul Joseph and Rita Glynn Gabbard Schoenfeld. She graduated from Connersville High School in 1979 and was a member of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church. She liked horses, collected baskets, and loved time spent at the Mary Gray Bird Sanctuary. Cynthia is survived by her companion: Ronald D. Russell of Connersville; three sons: Joshua Jordan and husband: Wayne Deibel of Indianapolis; Justin Jordan and wife, Nicole of Kansas; William Smith of California; a daughter: Ashley Smith of Glenwood; her mother: Rita Schoenfeld of Connersville; two brothers: Brian Schoenfeld and wife, Audrea of Hagerstown; Brennen Schoenfeld and wife, Lucy of Connersville; three sisters: Teresa Jessee of Everton, Kimberly Schoenfeld of Connersville, and Renee Bulmer of Cincinnati; four grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her grandparents, Cynthia was preceded in death by her father who died January 18, 2012. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville with Rev. Dustin Boehm of St. Gabriel Catholic Church officiating . Cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday from 12:00 until time of service where memorial contributions may be made to the family.
