Charlene A. Stephenson, 84, of Liberty peacefully passed away on March 13, 2025, at her home surrounded by family.
Born on August 28, 1940, in Greenville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Virginia Black Williamson. Charlene married Larry Stephenson in front of their fireplace on December 8, 1982. Together, they established Cable Care Electronics, successfully managing their business for over twenty-seven years. She was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church of Georgia, Charlene led an engaging life, enjoying travel and camping with Larry in their RV, riding motorcycles in her youth, deer hunting on their property in Georgia, and spending cherished moments on their houseboat, water skiing, swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying the soft breeze. She will be remembered as a vibrant woman who fully embraced life and cherished her family. Her memory will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Charlene is survived by her daughter Colette Walton and her husband Troy; grandchildren Kyle Walton (Jennifer), Kristin Rogers (Brandon), Michael Leas (Christina); great-grandchildren Ryleigh, Mason, Alice, Brian, Keaton, Michael Jr., Makayla, and Sammy; along with several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband of forty years, Larry; her daughter Ronda Renee Leas; grandchild Tyler Leas; and sisters Phyllis Laux and Marchia Mann.
A funeral service will occur at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Showalter Blackwell Long, Fosdick Chapel in Liberty with Shawn Tipton officiating. Burial will follow at West Point Cemetery. Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the service starts. Memorial contributions can be made to the Union County Cancer Society in Charlene's honor.
