Arnold E. Isbell Sr.

Arnold Edwin Isbell, Sr., 76, of Connersville, died Sunday afternoon, March 20, 2016 at Lincoln Centers East. Arnold was born October 21, 1939 in McCreary County, Kentucky, the son of Edwin Arlo and Elsie Barnette Isbell. Arnold was married in Pontiac, Michigan to the former, Mary Irene Brewer, who died in 2005. Arnold was a self- employed carpenter who could build anything and enjoyed rebuilding gunstock. In his leisure time, he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Arnold is survived by his children: Arnold E. Isbell, Jr. and his companion, Lori Ailes; Victor Ray Isbell, all of Connersville; William Henderson of Somerset, Kentucky; Leana Dawson and her husband, James of Liberty; his grandchildren: Micky Soard of Lewisburg, Ohio; Micaela Isbell of Connersville; Dustin Isbell; Jerica Isbell, both of Greenwood, Kentucky; Stephanie Dawson, James “Buddy” Dawson, Jr. , both of Liberty; Audrey Isbell; Katie Isbell; Ellen Isbell, all of Connersville; his great-grandchildren: Loran Austin of Connersville; Gracelyn Isbell of Greenwood, Kentucky; Brayden Ostheimer; Chase Givens; Rylee Givens; Paxton Givens, all of Liberty; Landen Soard of New York; Konnor Soard of Lewisburg, Ohio; his brother: Victor Godbey and his wife, Millie of Harrison, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Arnold is preceded in death by his parents. There will be no public services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
